Costa Rica! La Fortuna

Before we found out we were pregnant, Will and I booked a trip to Costa Rica. Luckily, we got permission with my doctor to go before i was 23 weeks. Just to cut it close, we went when I was 22 weeks. It was a blast!!! We loved it! After a 13 hours of travel, me wearing flip flops and not being able to stretch, and my ankles becoming 4 times its normal size (and I'm not exaggerating), we made it to La Fortuna. This city is the home of the most active volcano in Central America. Naturally, there's a rain forest there. So, we went on a tour/hike to an observation point of the volcano. During the hike, we saw a sloth, Toucans, snakes, ants, lizards, huge spiders, and wild turkeys. The tour guide was excellent and was very knowledgeable of the environment. Even better, his English was great! After the hike, we rested up. Will was able to go on a canopy zipline (the highlight of the trip for him) Unfortunately, he forgot the camera so we have no pictures. I got a massage while he was gone (paradise). We were very impressed with the hospitality of people, and the food there. It was really yummy!

Here's the sloth
The volcano was covered by clouds during the hike. We went during raining season so it happens a lot. This is a sign warning people not to pass. The ash and rock that comes out of the volcano can be dangerous and some people have died by not following the sign.

Here's our tour guide. He did a great job!

The view of our hotel from our room, it was beautiful!
