I'm not dead yet... really I'm not!

If any of you have seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, that's where the title of the this post comes in.....so a lot of things have happened since I last posted something. I find that if I don't do it for a long time, it gets harder to make the time to do it. But here's what's been happening at my house. I do apologize, it's a little mixed up on the dates. I still can't figure out how to put the pics. in the order I want them.

I just got home from going up to Logan to see this little guy get blessed. Carter is totally chill and a chunker and I couldn't get enough of him. Despite the cold and 6'' of snow, it was great to be with family and force myself to slow down because I really don't know how to do that :)

Will and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in January. We went and saw the Jabbawockeez perform. It was awesome and our seats were great! Totally recommend that show. I can't believe how fast 2 years has gone and what we've accomplished. I love my husband so much and he treats me like a princes :)

I got through New Beginnings with my Young Women from my church. This is the whole group, including the 2 new girls we'll get this year. Young Women's has been and continues to be a blessing in my life. I've learned a lot of things about myself and how to be a better leader. I'm far from perfect and often try to see where I can improve. I love these girls too. Because of them, this world is in a good place. :)

Kylee had surgery in January and I went up for a couple of days to help her out. The surgery went great and I got to spend some time with my nephews. On a side note, I also ventured out and put some red chunks in my hair. Nana (my mom) said I looked like a punk rocker when I first got it done. So if you ask Tyson what I look like he says 'punk rocker!' in a really cute way. It's been fun to venture out with my hair a little, Will still wants to see me blonde, but we'll see if that ever comes to pass!

I recently just finished reading the Forgotten Garden. If you are in need of a book to read, this would be it. It has a great mystery and love story woven in it and just keeps you guessing the whole time. I don't think I ever stroked a book when I finished reading it until I read this book. I also read Kate's other book, The House at Riverton, also a great book. I think I've found my new favorite author!

Will graduated with his Bachelors in December! We're so proud of him (I'm having a hard time loading pics of his graduation) While working at JJW, Will is starting his Masters. This is the company's logo that Will works for. He's loving Johnson Jacobson and Wilcox! They've treated him so well there and have made him feel right at home. I'm beginning to realize how lucky we are that he still only works about 50 hours a week when other companies have their employees working 80+ hours a week. We really enjoy have another steady income coming in and having him home on the weekends. JJW has been such a blessing and we are so grateful for them!

As of the beginning of December, I have now been working at Hottie Hair Salon. A great opportunity came up where I had the chance of saving some money with my booth rent and only moving 5 min. away from my old salon. It's been a huge change for me, but a good change. I like the people that I work with and the vibe that is at the salon. There are things that I miss about Vintage, but change is always good and I feel blessed that I moved when I did. When you're in Vegas and in the area, come stop by at Hottie Hair on buffalo and Charleston and say hi, I'd love to see you!
So much more has happened in our lives, but here's us in a nutshell. I'm learning that I can't do everything and that I need to rely on other people and allow some time for myself, and it's been hard for me. Life is challenging, but I'm grateful for those challenges.
